GSOE Associate Dean Doing Double Duty as Interim Dean at Extension
UC Regents appoint Sharon Duffy of UCR's Graduate School of Education

GSOE Associate Dean, Sharon Duffy, is now also the interim dean of UCR Extension, according to a UC Board of Regents' decision.

Duffy is an experienced manager at UCR.

• She was interim dean of the Graduate School of Education in 2003-2004 during a search for a permanent dean. Since then she has been an associate dean.
• She is a faculty affiliate with the UCR Center for Family Studies and is on the campus’ Accreditation Steering Committee.
• She was co-chair of the Chancellor’s Childcare Taskforce in 2005-2006.

She will retain her title and some of her responsibilities as associate dean of the GSOE while she oversees UCR Extension. Her new responsibilities begin Oct. 1.
